Save the Parrot Poker Run
We are happy to be a stop for Patty’s Parrot Palace 1st Annual Parrot Poker Run on Sunday, June 10th! Patty’s Parrot Palace is a non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates and permanently places companion parrots in their sanctuary.
A Poker Run is an organized event where participants using motorcycles or cars visit several checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run.
Patty’s Parrot Palace receives numerous calls weekly from individuals, businesses and the SPCA to rescue birds who are abused, neglected and unwanted. These birds are not adopted out, but are permanently placed in their sanctuary to live out their lives in peace. A macaw can live up to 80 years in captivity and averages eleven homes within their lifetime.
Best Hand, 50/50, Auction, Music and more!
Join them by bike or by car! For a list of Poker Run stops and to learn more about Patty’s Parrot Palace please visit their website at http://pattysparrotpalace.com/
Hi, I’m Max. I was rescued from a backyard breeder. I had two broken wings and was in THIS condition when I was kept outside in 32 degree weather! This is me NOW!
