Fall is finally here! This season promises some of the best sightseeing and airboat ride action of the year—plus plenty more ways to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family.

Enjoy a one-of-a-kind ride
Florida may not be known for big, sweeping color changes in our trees at this time of year—but look a little closer and you’ll see, there are still plenty of changes to enjoy this fall! Hop aboard for an Orlando airboat ride and experience temperatures that get slightly cooler every day, resulting in that perfect, not-too-hot, not-too-cold Florida fall weather we love so much. As the sun’s arc changes, it shines a warm, radiant light on Lake Jesup and its surrounding landscape that looks a little different every day. And, of course, the animals who call the lake “home” are constantly changing and moving around! As a result, no two rides on Lake Jesup are ever the same. From day to day and season to season, there’s so much more to enjoy on every fresh adventure.
Keep your eye on the sky for feathered friends
One of those animal changes we mentioned is the arrival of new birds! While Lake Jesup and our Bird Island are home to an enormous variety of feathered friends all year long, you may have the chance to see even more of them during the fall and winter months. This is because many species, such as the majestic white pelican, will be flocking to Florida to escape cooler weather up north. And of course, it’s always a great time to stop by and say “hi” to our resident blue and gold macaws, Baby and Morgan!
Relax at the Lazy Gator Bar
Summer may be over—but here at the Lazy Gator Bar, its spirit of laidback fun with friends continues well into the fall and all year long. For a relaxing evening out, or just-because drinks after work, our waterfront venue is a great place to kick back and relax, and even catch live music on select nights! Plus, it’s the perfect place to enjoy the relaxing fall breeze as we head further into the season.
Fuel fall adventures with a delicious meal
Whether you need fuel for outdoor adventures, like Orlando airboat rides, or want to dig in and recharge after a thrilling day on the water, this season is about savoring delicious dishes with the ones you love. Come by The Black Hammock Restaurant and enjoy familiar flavors, like burgers and barbecue, or exciting new treats like our famous Gator Bites!
Participate in special seasonal events
Fall is the season of festive fun, especially here at The Black Hammock. We’ve got plenty of exciting events to look forward to, from live music, to BikeHammockFest October 17th – 20th, to Girls Night Out on the 29th, to our annual Halloween Party and Costume Contest on November 1st.
